We’re SANBORN FARMS

Native plants are essential for attracting local pollinators and predators of pests!

From the ground up!

Literally! It all begins with a healthy soil ecosystem. Not only does a rich thriving ecology in the soil make for bountiful crops, but it’s also essential for a healthy ecosystem all the way up the food-chain; from pollinators to people! On our farm, everything is part of the natural cycle: from the rabbits and goats that produce fertilizer, to the strategically planted strong scented herbs and flowers that deter pests. We use thoughtful sustainable farming techniques including polycultures (companion planting), permaculture (creating natural ecosystem), biodynamic farming (integrated livestock and farming), integrated pest management (using plants to deter pests), renewable energy, and mulching/cover-crops. There’s a reason that mosts cultures share a similar basic expression: If you take care of the land, the land will take care of you.
